She leaves me with the child 90% and the 2 attempts where i did try to work and pay for support she would not watch her own son cause she wanted to go out. Then I would have to get a shift that would never work, I had to get a babysitter If i wanted to work. with no money

It's only 125 a month! If that wasn't such a big deal why didn't you pay it? If your that far behind you may be going to jail for a little while.

I have 2 ex's. One I dropped the child support, because he and I got along, and he explained to me, that he was having a difficult time, and I understood this..Not a problem...He has a family and he needed it for them.
My other ex, is behind, but I dont push it, he has been WAY more then 1600 behind before, and he did not go to jail, he showed up at court with like $100 and made a payment plan....But really it depends on what state you live in..Each state has there own laws for child support. The reason I brought that up about my other ex, and me dropping the support, Is if you and her are living together, Maybe she will cut you a break...Ya know? Seems like you must be getting along to live in the same home...
Just try, and show them you are trying, and be sincere..It should all work out..

A dad that knows he has to pay child support only seems
to worry about not having paid it because now he might
go to jail. 1600 dollars shows the court that you werent
interested in paying the child care unless you constantly
contacted the courts explaining why you could not keep
up with the payments because of no job, and if that is not
the reason the court will feel you are giving them nothing
but excuses: Only one optcion left and that is to try and
get ahold of the mother and talk with her and set a time
line on the catch-up payments and continuance, and she
can go to the courts and help you out, but then that is
asking a lot for her to do as you are the one who messed
up and not her. You can also try and borrow the money
and pay-up because if not then well, welcome to the
brick house.

I had the same problem before I was behind the same amount 1600.00 I had lost my job and could not make the payment's. It adds up quick depending on what your payments are so i was out of work about 2 months total till i finally got a new job my daughter's mom took me to court for non payment of support so I told them I would pay back an extra 50.00 a week to pay off the back support that was last year It is payed off and I'm makin my regular payments again.

i know someone that worked for child support recovery, and i heard a lot of behind the walls talk, if she refuses to push the issue and will sign a form, they'll leave you alone. if you've already got a judgement for said amt. and are in default, you are in trouble, try being honest with the judge and beg for time to pay off the debt. if you still live with the mother, is that income and situation a part of the record? it should make a difference.

Being that your so far behind, my guess is you may go to jail.

Because if your ordered to pay child support you have to pay it to support your kids.

I suggest getting out and finding a job.
