2log6^4 - 1/3log6^8 = log6^x
(2)(4)log6 - (1/3)(8)log6 = (x)log6
8log6 - 8/3log6 = (x)log6
Divide both sides by log6
8 - 8/3 = x
x = 16/3

2log6^4-1/3log6^8=log6^x
log ( 6^8)- log (6^8/3) = log 6^x
log ( 6^8 / 6^{8/3}) = log 6^x
=>
6^8 / 6^{8/3} = 6^x
6^{8-8/3} = 6^x
=>
8-8/3 = x
x= (24-8)/3 =16/3 .
