If you have recurring dream about something or somewhere, it probably means that something is not resolved with that place or that thing. In your case, there may be something happened before in the English class.

Perhaps, it was some grade you didn't do well, and you subconsciously wanted to fulfill your wish. Or perhaps, there was a girl/guy that made you remember all the time with that class.

It all depends on the detail of the dream and the background of yoru life. You should examine what you did in that English class, then you should find out why you keep going back to the same class. There must be something lurked into your subconscious mind that you want to resolve it but you probably forgot to do it in the past. Once you find out why or re-visit the place, the recurring dream will be gone.

Supposedly, recurring dreams of any sort mean that you don't have closure about an issue tied to that thing/place. Your mind is trying to sort through any issues that occurred in that place, and is devoting all your down time (sleeping time) to getting over the issue. For instance, from the time my parents divorced when I was in middle school until I was 20, I would periodically dream of my childhood home, which we moved out of at the time of their divorce. The dreams varied, but always they took place at that house. I had virtually the same dream dozens of times, and I wondered what it meant until over the years the dreams became more detailed, and I eventually saw my dream self crying at the house, not wanting to leave it, and then angry at the people who live there now. (I'm really not exaggeating- it was that vivid). Obviously that's not just like your dream, but I would guess maybe something happened in the English class that you are not at peace with or don't understand, or the English class represents something else you have issue with.

Anything that reoccurs and impresses you enough so that you are thinking about it during the day is something you must examine.
The English class could be just that or it could be a symbol for something else. What does "English Class" mean to you? Something you are not or are interested in, not good at or desire to be good at, etc.
You added that you don't participate because you feel out of place. School dreams are often about anxiety. Anxiety results from fear. That could be fear, apart from school.
Please note what is different, in the dream, from the actual experience. Who is there? Who speaks? What is your activity; are you interacting or just observing?
Finally, did you enjoy the dream or did it upset you?
Think about the why of that.

Some studies suggest that dreams occur as a form of release of stress. Stress doesnt have to be negative. Winning money can be stressful. Getting a new job can be stressful. Bringing home a new baby can be stressful.

So, if you agree with those studies, maybe the location you dream about is a location associated with stress. Only you would know if it is or not.

This dream may be interpreted on several different levels. If you are the student you may be feeling inadequate or lack self confidence. Either way, going to school or attending class in a dream is your unconscious reminder that there is a need for new learning and that you may have not learned an important lesson.

Try to understand what that location means to you. Do you feel safe there? Do you like English class? Do you have issues with the teacher? Ask more of those types of questions of yourself. Of course, you need to understand the dreams in context with what is happening in your life, etc.

Certainly your unconscious is directing your attention to the English class, but why? What did you pick up subliminally in this class that is attempting to make itself known? Next time you are in the classroom, be very observant of everything around you, looking for clues that you missed.
