This item is up for bid for $100, barely used in like new condition. I want to use it to install Microsoft word, write, save to disk or hard drive. I dont' need anything fancy. Does anyone know anything about these? I'm a little scared cause it has no bids and I'm wondering why it's being avoided.

$100 is waaaaay too cheap for a laptop. Trust me, you're taking a BIG risk with that low price. The seller may be trying to cheat someone off by selling a broken laptop that won't startup anymore. I recommend you search for used laptops that are above $500, so you'll make sure you won't be getting ripped off.

Bombard the seller with questions until you are satisfied with the item and comfortable buying it.

It will sell for a lot higher than that.

Make sure you've read all the small print on the listings.
