My husband caught one in a live trap and someone told him that this is what it was. We have pics, just wondering if anyone had heard of it.

Three-toed Amphiuma ... The three-toed amphiuma grows up to almost 42 inches long. It's a salamander that lives in stillwaters of South America. Usually brown or Black.

A type of salamander. They also live in the southeast United States. Very cool find.
