Rydges on southbank is nice. It is reasonably priced and Southbank can be romantic (night time walks along the river).
It is also close to restaurants/shops etc.

Versace is beautiful and only about an hour's drive from Brisbane (really expensive though).
In Brisbane City itself you can't go past the Conrad Treasury Casino.
The building alone exudes romance. It is the place I choose to (totally) spoil myself at (and I live on the Gold Coast!).

The great thing about the Treasury is you don't have to leave the building at all.
Everything is on site, restaurants, entertainment etc.

If you gotta be in the CBD, for example if you are partying there and staying the night, get anything tall and on the river, keep the curtains open!

It depends on what you want to spend, but for luxury, try the Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast
