The Euro is well on it's way to to supplanting the Dollar as the standard currency of the world. Why? Because it's more stable. The US better wake up soon and realize that, or we will lose the foreign investment we need to keep our economy strong.

You are comparing apples to oranges. The fact that the United States has as much economic and military power as every country in the EU combined is actually a good way of showing how powerful the US really is.
That being said, the EU and US are completely interdependent, and what is good for one is usually good for the other. As for "the US can't do anything... without the consent of the EU" - that is simply not true. The US and EU argue over trade issues all the time, and neither can force the other to do anything. Let's be realistic.

The EU is not a country, all of those countries in EU are sovereign. They are not states and you shouldn't believe for a second that all the countries in the EU are united. The EU needs us just as much as we need them.
