How do u send a international text msg from Australia to America?

I have the number i just dont know what i have to put in front of the number to enable it go through..

Im not sure if you have the US country calling or not but it is: 0011 +1. So I dont know if that helps. However, if you want to send a text message to a cell phone from your computer. I highly recommend the website www.sendsmsnow.com . It is free, it works and they will send you an email in most cases to let you know that you received a reply. If you aren't near a computer I guess it wont work but it's an option.
