I would like to know the price of the brand new Blackberry Pearl and if I can put it on my currrent Verizon plan or do I have to switch networks?

The price ranges from $100-200 US dollars. Sadly you cannot have the Pearl with Verizon,Verizon doesn't have the SIM card because it uses the satelite. Only Cingular and T-Mobile carry it,though I recommend Cingular because it has better reception than T-Mobile.

Verizon Wireless uses CDMA technology. The phone Blackberry Pearl is only available for GSM Network which requires a sim card in the back of the phone. The only carrier that has the Blackberry Pearl is T-Mobile. The cost of this phone is $199.99 with a two year contract with T-Mobile. You will not be able to use this phone with Verizon.
