my favorite breed of dog is a golden retriever because i have had mine for 8 years and she is the most protective dog we have had and she is such a sweety she does what ever and has a great temperment i strongly reccommend golden retrievers for people with young children

My favorite are all large short coated smushy faced breeds. But pit bulls have a special place in my heart. They are very misunderstood. They are not vicious dogs unless tought to be vicious. A well trained and socialized pit bull is the most friendly loving animal. Even the pit bulls that have been forced into the fighting ring are so forgiving, and will lick your hand and wag their tail, even when broken and bleeding. I know a lot of people fear pit bulls, but they are some of the sweetest dogs. Love 'em to death.

I can't really pick a favorite dog, I have always had dogs and pets in general in my life and I have loved everyone one of them. I have a little Papillon now. she is a rescue dog that had a very bad and painful past...she will always have her hangups and she is not healthy. I have Vet bills going through the ceiling but I wouldn't give her up for anything. The rest of her life is going to be a happy one.
I would like to add that every dog is great, even pit bulls that get a bad rap..owners make bad dogs, dogs aren't born bad.

Me, I love bulldogs.they r the best all around family dog. they will protect u when is needed, and love u too death the rest of the time. litteraly. They r like one of the best best dogs with kids i think. cuz lol no matter how much those cute little ones put them through. they just stay there and take it, and still love them whole time. they r low maintance dogs that have to be by u're side loving u unconditionaly 24/7. I could go on forever on how much i love bulldogs,well all dogs but bulls r my all time fav. (sorry about the spelling lol). So go bulldogs!!

I guess a mixed breed. I had "Jake" for 14 years. He was Kurr, blue tick and red bone. He was my baby. I lost him in 2005 to cancer. That was one of the hardest things i've ever had to do in my life was have him put to sleep. I took him to the vet and they told me it was cancer and there was no hope, they gave him medications for pain and he was having tumors all over his body and i could tell he was suffering so i had him put to sleep. I will never forget him and all the love and joy he gave me!!!!! I hate to see mixed breeds called "mutts", to me he was never a mutt, there has never nor will there ever be any full stock or any type of dog that will ever take his place.

My favorite breed of dog would have to be a German Shepard/Wolf hybrid because they are fiercly independent, rare, pretty, strong, loyal, big, fast, smart, obedient and the fact that they're a hybrid.

We recently adopted a 3-year-old boxer. He has been a wonderful addition to our family. He can follow some commands, loves fetching his tennis ball (especially in 6 inches of snow), doesn't pull me when I walk him, howls at the funniest things (like a ringing cell phone, and is very loving. So, having said all of that, I would have to say boxers are definitely my favorite.

My husband had a dachshund when we got married. At first I wasn't too sure about the small house dog. But I fell in LOVE with these dogs. They love to cuddle and sit with you. They are playful but not hyper. If we ever get another dog it will be a dachshund for sure.

i love great danes and other big dogs like pittbulls, and stuff cause they're so muscley and have so much power it seems to them because i'mreally tall and with them i don't even have to lean over to pet them and stuff pretty convient, but they are also such beautiful dogs because of all their muscles and build it's jsut awesome
