I obviously, missed something, but for some time I have been wondering what happened with Grissom on CSI? Where did he go? He was so awesome.

Grissom's character on CSI is taking a short term teaching position. The actor took some time off to do theatre.
He'll be back in about 4 weeks.

William Petersen the actor who plays Grissom is just taking some time off to do a play. He is suppose to return in Feb. On the show they have him leaving to teach a class at a college and will be back. The show is just not the same with out Grissom

He went to teach at a university for 4 weeks. When he comes back, he has a gift waiting for him (another replica of a murder).
