Daniel Craig rose above all of the critics who doubted him in Casino Royale, and that movie was one of the best Bond movies I have seen. However, I gotta see some more Bonds with Daniel Craig before I say he's my favourite.
I like Roger Moore a lot, but I think Connery is my favourite just because he is the original.

I like James Bond the best. He is a fictional spy. I also like Jenny Bond who is a news correspondent.
My favourite Bond actor is either Sean or Roger, although Pierce was good too. Actually the new guy Daniel Craig was decent enough too. I'll say Roger Moore because his name sounds like he is a Bond character too (get it Roger Moore! LOL).

Roger Moore, no doubt about it!
He was suave and did the faintly amused look witha twinkle in his eye really well.
I'd say he was more 'classy' than Sean Connery.
George Lazenby has nothing much in the 'suave' department; Timothy Dalton was not that bad as a darker bond.
I didn't like Pierce Brosnan, he had no defining characteristic. I could be influenced by his years as Remington Steele.
(The Saint -the series because of which Roger Moore initially declined to be Bond- was not incompatible with Bond, so did not play against Roger Moore as much as Remington Steele did as far as Brosnan is concerned in my view)
I haven't watched Casino Royale, so I can't comment on Daniel Craig.

To anyone that answered anything but Sean Connery may you be struck very roughly with a Walther PPK.
Mr. Craig while having an auspicious debut has yet to really wear the shoes in. Moore played him as a camp rogue; less said about dalton the better; Brosnan tried to meld Moore & Connery together (this chafed after Goldeneye); Lazenby was Cubby Broccoli trying to prove apoint to Connery (it failed although OHMSS is an excellent film Kojak as Blofield anyone); and let's not forget Niven in the camp Casino Royale.
Sean Connery stands head and shoulders above them all from Dr. No to Diamonds Are Forever. I mean even his remake of Thunderball (Never Say Never Again) was better than the later Moore outings.
Rant over

Connery all the way for me!!! I grew up on Bond. If there isn't a Bond on at Christmas it just isn't happening for me. The 90s were such a terrible time for Bond-it went all PC and largely missed the whole point of being Bond. I'm so glad they've chosen to return to basics and be more true to the character even if it is tongue in cheek. Haven't seen the new one yet but I'm actually not as devastated by the new guy as I expected to be. I may be proved wrong though when I finally make it to the movies though!

TIMOTHY DALTON.
Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, and even Sean Connery (who is excellent in many other performances) had a tendency to just say their lines and SMIRK. Moore can do little more than smirk.
Timothy Dalton had the talent to make Bond come alive as a real person!
