Bob Corker, ever though he is new, he won a well earned election, against Harold Ford, Jr. in a well heated battle. He hasn't spoke up too much yet, but look for him to be a big time senator, with a possible Presidential run sometime in the far future.

Right now it is Senator Hagel Republican. At a time in our history when we need leaders, people who will identify themselves and what they stand for, and all we have are timid politicians who hide behind the monuments in Washington, Sen Hagel stood up, challenged the President of his own party all by himself, and gained the respect of millions by saying what almost 80% of us already feel, that the President is wrong and needs to be stopped. Would that there were more like him in Washington, we might have a very different reality in the US and the Middle East. He makes you proud again after years of shame.

I had a former Senator, John Danforth (Missouri), that I really liked. I nearly always vote Democrat, but he was a Republican and I really liked him. He seemed pretty moderate and opposed a lot of the religious issues in government even though he was pretty religious himself. I had a lot of respect for him and I would vote for him again if he ever ran, which I doubt.

Barrack Obama or John McCain.
Obama is both extremely intelligent & charismatic, which is something very few politicians can pull off.
McCain has REAL military & political experience, unlike Bush or many of his men.

I don't like any of them because they all play politics rather than voting their conscious and speaking out with what they believe in.
