Has anybody played with a ouija board and actually contacted a ghost?

Well one day i played with a ouija board i was like cool because i never heard of it and thought it was a kid friendly game .Then when i went home and told my mother she said that that game was associated with the devil and blah blah blah just wondering if anybody actually contacted the dead using that board cause truly i don't get the concept of it and got frustrated and told my friend to put it away and why would hasbro make such a game

Parker Brothers makes Ouija boards, and they are marketed as a game because the majority of people don't believe in them anymore. Centuries ago, Gypsies used spirit boards to contact the dead, and those spirit boards evolved into our modern-day Ouija boards.

Even though Ouija boards are marketed as games, they are anything but. You can contact spirits on them. We had a board that we used for about a year on which we talked to the spirit of a friend who had killed himself.

Ouija boards can be fun, but be careful with them. Many people think they're harmless, but they're not. Think of them as a BB gun. BB guns can be fun toys, but if you don't know how to handle one, you could get really hurt. Ouija boards are the same way. Here's a few tips on how to safely use a Ouija board:

1. Never use the board by yourself. You need at least two people so that the board will give verifiable answers. After all, if it's just you and the planchette, no one will know if it really moved or if you moved it.

2. Never leave the planchette on the board with no one touching it. The planchette is the indicator, the thing that moves from letter to letter. If you leave the planchette on the board with the eye in it (the clear plastic disk), spirits can eavesdrop through it.

3. The easiest way to get cut by a knife is to be afraid of it. What I mean is that even though the Ouija board can be a useful tool for contacting spirits, take everything they say with a grain of salt. Most of the spirits like to lie, and they will say anything that gets a reaction out of you. Don't have the attitude that the Ouija board is a sacred object. It's a tool, just like a hammer or wrench.

4. If you have problems with a Ouija board, such as evil spirits, problems communicating, ghosts in your house, etc, then your board is tainted, and you need to get a new board. The best way to get rid of a tainted Ouija board is to tear it up into pieces and burn it. You wouldn't keep a broken wrench around, would you? You shouldn't keep a tained Ouija board around either. They're both equally useless.

It can if they choose to use it. You can use the palette or you can use a pendulum you either buy or make yourself. I tied a string around a tumbled blue lace agate when I was a teenager. Was never able to make any sense of the letters in response to questions but it was fun at slumber parties to try :) For others I have heard some bad horror stories so if you do decide to try it, maybe anoint with holy oil or cast a protective circle JUUUUST in case :) EDIT: real to me, means you believe in it. It doesnt have to be a geniune parker brothers game board you can draw one on a sheet of paper or cardboard and get the same results. scary stuff has happened with homemade just as often as the copyrited version.

Yes. Me and my friend contacted the little boy ghost who lives in our basement.
Btw.. Before you ever use a quija board say something like this so no evil spirits come and try to harm you " Only good spirits will be allowed to come into this house to speak with me. Evil spirits are not welcomed in this house." Always say something like that or else an evil spirit might come and follow you. My brother Eli used it a few times and for a few months there was another shadow following his. And we never used th quija board again 'cause you could feel that their was something evil in it.

First of all they are called Spirits!!! Yes i have used this medium to contact them. Tell your mother that she needs to educate herself, but nice try. Don't look at it as a game. Its a connection. You must respect the board or you might not like what happens next. My advice to you is not to play with it, especially if it scares you or if for any reason you feel that you shouldn't.

yes they really do work once i talked to a young girl that had died from a car accident but anyway before you stop playing the game ask if you can leave the game " can we close the game" because if you dont they say they (spirits)will follow you and also my brother had told me that light a white candle and a red candle and if the red one blows out its the bad one and if the white one blows out then its a good one but im not to sure about this candle thing! but be careful okay

Ouija boards aren't games. Yeah, they're marketed for kids but they can be dangerous if you get a goof ball messing with you.

girl, i do not suggest playing w them. i had a really odd experience, that follow my sister til this day. he is a creepy, shdow, with a long coat, and slicked back hair. Yes we have seen him. he calles him self nick, and zamoola. ( whatever that means ) But i ahve seen him, and i joke you not, he has touched my sister on the shoulder. 4 of us seen him at once. he is evil, quija boards are just wrong.
