"As she walked up the driveway, she notcied a small scrap of paper lying on the grass, stuck there between the grass edge and the beginnings of the flower bed. She picked it up......"
and then you can have whatever is on that scrap of paper be a big clue to a story (a phone number, email addresss, part of a love letter, or even make it a photograph, etc.)
:) Good luck!

It depends on how old she is. The best stories are the ones that happened to you or someone you know. Does she have any stories that she's told before that made people laugh? Has she ever gotten a great surprise? Has she ever been lost? Has she ever gone on an adventure? Has she ever gone on a great ride at an amusement park? If the story has to be completely fictional, then take a real story like the questions I listed and give it a new character and setting. For example, if she has been on a great ride like the Scream Machine at Six Flags, what would the rides be like for a bunch of forest animals that decided to make their own amusement park? Or, if she's gotten lost before, what does she think it would be like for a baby whale that got separated from its mother? The important thing is to write about something you can relate to--that way you don't have to make up so many details.
