I got my modem/router/wireless through Verizon. On their site it says that I should have a westell wireless usb adapter for my desktop in order to go wireless. Why can't I use a wireless network card instead? They are alot cheaper than what they want me to buy. I need help!!

This is there recommendation, as most companies will try to sell you thier product to make more money off you.

You can purchase any wireless adapter you wish, as long as the 802.11 protocol is compatable.

Had this exact same question, turn on the wireless switch on the console, then looking at the sticker that has two numbers on it, open the wireless connection tool on your desktop, and create a new connection using the 2 numbers S/N and something else, I am not sure which goes where, just try em both in different slots. Good luck.

(If you dont have a wireless card go to bestbuy and get one, just ask the guys there)

I have the westell 327w,also and I have it wired into the ehernet adapter on my desktop.
all you need is a 10/100 ethernet card. Your connection will be faster too using the ethernet card

you may substitute the main or you may block MAC style of any computing device that take place on the record connections. In IE type 162.186.2.a million it would pass to your router settings then seek for MAC numbers of consumers linked, and purely block them
