im watching an episode called redrum on cbs im not sure if it is a new episode or not i usually watch csi on spike tv which only shows the older episodes and on this episode grissom hasnt been there at all did he die

No he did not die, he took time off to teach a seminar @ Williams College. Check out the source and it will explain it better than I.

William Petersen the actor who plays Grissom is just taking some time off to do a play. He is suppose to return in Feb. On the show they have him leaving to teach a class at a college and will be back. The show is just not the same with out Grissom
