You are just like me when it comes to homework and papers, I will wait to the last minute. How about talking about why people shouldnt smoke, hello it kills you, I think it is a very easy topic and I had to do a persuasive speech for ten minutes on it, you shouldnt have a problem with it. ummmmmmmmmm....... yesterday i heard that in Australia, since it is directly under a hole in the ozone layer, the kids cant go in the sun for certain times in the year. but since they DO need SOME sunlight, they have rooms with like solar lamps or something and that's how they get their healthy dosage of "sun". you could look into that, and then go into how important it is for us to take care of the ozone layer.
childhood obesity is really good too. how bad habits are formed during childhood and how parents should be the ones to inculcate good reasoning when it comes to eating.
AIDS. that would work too. explain how important it is to spread awareness of it and how to avoid it. explain also, common misconceptions about it (like it can be passed on by touching those infected or something) and maybe how AIDS started.

With global warming in the news so much, perhaps you could write a paper persuading people that global warming is actually occurring. There is bound to be lots of information out there.

Well, you can find a lot of info on obesity, you know, as a health issue. Talk about what you can do for a healthy diet and how obesity is caused. Also, talk about ways to exercise, and to prevent it, and to treat it. And any thing else you think of.
