go to the salon and get a french manicure but at the tips try and get a tourquise color that matches your dress, this is how I did mine last year to go to prom and i got so many compliments for it. For your hair maybe wearing it down and adding some soft waves to it with curlers or get a classic updo here is a great site: www.updos.org

For your nails get a french manicure or something simple because it can't clash or detract from your dress. Wear your hair up in a way you'd like because it's a formal and it's fun to get your hair done. With your eyes i'd go with neutral colours to make your dress the focal point. Have an awesome time!

get your nails done at a salon, and get french nails, because they look very nice on occasions like the winter formal. for your hair, you should definitely get it curled, and wear the half up, half down style, you know, like when you gather some of your hair and just tie it to the back of your head? for your makeup, don't use too much; make it natural. using shimmer dust on your face, neck, and arms would look great too, but don't use glitter, because it is for elementary schoolers, and it will not look very good at all. on your face, you can dust your lids with eyeshadow, and add some blush on your cheeks. and don't forget lip gloss. use clear, because some colors don't look very natural and some kinds cake onto your lips after a while. using eyeliner would also define your eyes too.

for your nails, i suggest getting tips done that are the same color as your dress, and have the person doing them put a silver line on it...as for your hair, go to thehairstyler.com and click on the free trial/demo, and then select the different catagories (hair length, color, ocasion, etc.)...this will give you some really cool ideas...and as for your make up, don't over do it...just some foundation, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner (optional, but don't use a lot), and some lip gloss or lip stick if you prefer that better...
hope that helped :)

With your nails, you could get acrylics and have the tips silver and the other part natural or pink tinted. You can do your hair with big loose curls sorta like Beyonce, that would be so pretty. Makeup you could do a shimmery silver eyes with a pretty lipgloss.

If you wanted to wear the dress in yellow, I would wear brown and gold eye shadow and pinkish red lipstick or lipgloss. Anything would go with it(: Yellow brightens up winter and stands out. You could wear your hair in a half ponytail, and the rest down (wavy or straight). That would look really cute, so that it's up but down at the same time. Good luck!!

Curl your hair and wear it "up". For an evening formal, wear a tawny foundation, with light blue eyeshadow and dark brown lipstick, and some rouge, mascara, eyeliner, etc. Paint your nails a translucent pearl.

Nails : if i were you, i would just go to walmart or somewhere like that and get the easy glue on nails that dont take anytime to put on since your goin to be busy getting around anyways.

Hair: Okay this is what i would do and its easy and looks like you spent quite a while on your hair. put your hair up in hot rollers and hair spray really well before you take them out. once you take them out, take some hair and twist it from your forehead back to about the crown of your hair (i call them cornrows) and bobby pin it in. do about five of them across the top of your head to about your ears. Once you have them twisted back and pinned all in place. Pull the rest of your hair up in a ponytail and secure it with a pony tail. You should have a curly pony tail but if you dont like the way that looks, you could always pin the curls up around your head with bobby pins or just touch up the curls with the curling iron. its a pretty easy updo and its very pretty...i did my hair like this for prom when i went my sophomore year.

Makeup: since you have dark hair and dark eyes, i think we should go with just a white simmery eye shadow, almost like a dusty powder kind just to highlight your eyes and then put on black mascara and eye liner to make your eyes pop. the rest of your make up i would do pretty neutral because when it comes to make up i think less is more. you dont want to wear to much. just do your make up as you usually would and then play up your eyes a bit.

Good luck and have fun:)
