It has been thouroughly proven that YA is addicting, but why? its like you stop whatever you're doing weather its homework or studying or whatever, and you get all excited, just to check out what's on here or to ask questions. I didn't even want to be on here in the first place, i signed up by accident, but now i can't get myself to stay away. i would say maybe its because your life is really boring or something, but i thought that only applied to me.

My husband introduced me to it, and now he's sorry. He's doing his own laundry and dishes about half the time, because I spend so much time here. I don't know what it is, maybe the connection with so many different minds, some of them are pretty interesting, and some of them are scarey... it's a safe adventure, I guess!

Because it's all about bragging rights among friends. The "I have more points than you" gloating that most people thrive on. That, and people love giving their 2 cents on any topic that they can. They just want to give people their opinion and that's what's so great about this site. But that's just me.

it's because of the y!a receptor site in your brain, if you get used to having them filled, just like the endorphin receptors, when you don't get your fix you feel bad. there is grant money available for research in this field, goto research.gov. try weaning yourself off them slowly , it helps.

lt's undeniably addicting because we love hearing from other people. We also like it that we can write anything without them knowing who we really are.
