I think it's stupid that people who shop at Hot Topic criticize Abercrombie. Seriously. They say people who shop at Abercrombie have no individuality, which whether you admit it or not, if it applies to Abercrombie, it also applies to Hot Topic.
Some people say Abercrombie is too expensive. As if Hot Topic is cheap? Abercrombie is slightly more expensive, but they have a much, much better sale rack.
People say they don't like Abercrombie because it's too happy. Right, and being depressed is something too be proud of?
Think about it, Hot Topic is considered pretty pricey, compared to Old Navy, Aero, Wet Seal, etc. So people who shop there have to have a financially stable family. You're not starving, you're not homeless, you're not ill, why be sad?

And since a lot of you who answered are so ignorant, Abercrombie isn't that awesome either.
They use naked people on catalogues, and they made thongs for young ten year old girls at Abercrombie Kids. Not cool.

a) for goths
b) for fat ppl
c) for fat gothy ppl
so there fore i like Abercombie..... if u r cheap y don't u just shop @ Hollister or somathing........

I like Abercrombie. But I also use to shop at Hot Topic. Not for the "gothic" selectoin, just for shirts that say band names on it. I dress in my own way but I dress like every other ordinary girl does. Preppy. And happy. Hot Topic is a way of expressing themselves and Abercrombie is a way of expressing thereselves also. It doesn't matter where you shop or how you dress it's how you feel about yourself... Also, if you shop at Hot Topic you're not just depressed and feeling low at self esteem you're just not into the preppy look. If you shop at Abercrombie you're not shopping there because it's "expensive" and want to look rich, though I've seen some people shop there because they want to fit in. Abrcrombie and Hop Topic are both equally expressive ways of creativity.

Umm, i really think abercrombie because hot topic is much more for goths and i dont think abercrombie should be vs. with hot topic...abercrombie is soo much better!

I do like Abercrombie more, but because i have never went in to Hot Topic. You could try other stores too, like macys, hollister, wet seal, forever21,etc

Abercrombie rocks!!! I shop there all the time for clothes. People who say bad things about Abercrombie are just plain jealous cause they can't fit into the clothes. Those people at Hot Topic r weird anyways !!!

i don't shop at either store, but if i ever had to choose between the two, i'd pick abercrombie. hot topic is just too "depressing" for me, and i am not that kind of person.
is hot topic really for fat people? i wouldn't know because i don't go in that store when i'm at the mall, but saying hot topic sucks because it is for fat people is kind of mean. sometimes it is not their fault they are fat, they just are. have some respect, please, some of you.
