Dramas or Suspense thrillers that are well-scripted (written) with a story that is compelling (like a human interest story that people can relate to), with strong actors/actresses. I prefer movies with well-established actors such as Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, because these people give consistently strong performances that are rarely disappointing.
