OK, my husband and I of almost 10 yrs married have decided to divorce, however we've also decided to be "friends with benefits" and a few days ago we were intimate and it was THE BEST we've EVER had, is it because we are technically not together that makes it hotter or what?

Probably. When you were together, the relationship wasn't that good(I assume). So, you were fulfilling those physical needs but knew that the relationship wasn't meant to be. There was likely some guilt on both your parts because of this.
Now, you know that neither one of you expects anything, and it is just a roll in the hay. With the guilt gone, it was more fun. And, then you know you get to leave afterwards, and no one has to sleep on the wet spot!!.
Most couple do this for a period of time, or at least it isn't unheard of.

Alot of couples end up doing this. The stress of the relationship is over and your able to let go. It usually won't last as soon as you both remember why it was you split in the first place. Enjoy it while you can.

you let the marriage get stale and mundane. Gets boring and routine without change from habit and excitement.
Variety IS the spice of life, especially for the bedroom.

This sounds kind of strange and immature. I hope you don't have children. But whatever floats your boat.

Oh great..."let's get divorced then use one another for our own sexual gratification" What the hell did you get married for in the first place? Friends with benefits equals allowing yourself to be used as a whore, a respiticle for his bodily fluids. Yeah the sex may have been great but what happens to self respect? (Is that a toilet I hear flushing in the background?)
