I live in MI and I have my Corrections Officer Certificate and I am about to finish my Emergency Medical Technician training. What can I do as far as career with these two combined?

I would opt for the EMT career...It is in higher demand with better pay than the correctional facilities. The only way you could do both would be to work in corrections and be on hand for your EMT skills and I'd have to think the EMT would pay much higher than corrections.

Be a correction officer. The EMT certificate would also be helpful as a correction office, you'll have an edge over other applicants with just a correction officer certf.

If they are college credit courses, I would transfer your EMT credits into soething more usefull, like nursing. It is hard to get a job in MI right now and you can use all the help you can get.

you can work in a jail probably become a police officer, 911 dispatcher, work in a hospitle.

quite the combo......go in to the medical field...why work with murders & rapists !!! they don't deserve your talent !!!
