There is a movie that i had in mind and I want this movie to be about a main character who gets kidnapped by aliens and basically is a pet for aliens in another planet, much like dogs are pets to humans
then the movie has human shelters for runaway humans
and stray humans
And humans wanting to go back home but they get put to sleep, etc.
what do you think about that
Which Actors do you think would serve a good role in this movie?? It's estimated to cost a few million for the special affects and screenplay, much of what I'll be paying out of my own budget

I agree, Tom Cruise is you're man. He already has a few alien experience, this could help you on your project.

It all depends on the Script - it could totally FLOP if its not an amazing Script -
It would have to be Seriously realistic - like it could actually happen - The Aliens would have to be like these Extremely Intelligent Beings with powers beyond our Human minds (Or so we think)- in order to make it realistic that we would be considered PETS
It would take a HUMAN that while being captive focused on using more than 10% of their Brains -Trying to use their full human Mind potential to get out - in other words Prooving that Humans are capable of being extrodinary themselves - once they tap into their mental inteligence they have yet to acknowledge
Yes it does seem a little similiar to other movies - Like Planet Of the Apes - But for this one to work - It would have to be on a Phenominal Level like I tried to explain above
As for the actors - I would say Val Kilmer as lead(he can really pull off anything)
Female lead - Scarlette Johansen - (She did an amazing job in THE ISLAND)
Supporting Characters - Taye Diggs , Cristina Ricci and Sanai Lathan
Hey if you use this Idea/ Approach - I want atleast 5% of the profits- Hee hee
Hey poor man's Copyright - LOL

I dunno if you have the budget for it, but what are describing DOES sound like a rip-off of "Planet of the Apes". I suggest you go one step further and do a parody. Not apes, though. Dogs are the dominant species. You got the Charlton Heston character saying, "a planet where dogs evolved from.... what DO dogs evolve from?"
Probably be funnier in CGI though.

I believe that the "Planet of the apes" kinda had the same theme.I wouldn't waste my money or time with this.Aliens are not "in" right now as they kinda faded away with the 80's

This was a "twilight zone" episode based on a 50's short story.

I think it'd be cooler if you made a movie in a dead language, then have angry people stick nails into some skinny hippy.

Honestly it sounds like something that's been done already. Like sometime in the 80's.
