Lower heating bills for the North. This means we can afford to drive bigger cars S(uper)UV's. Maybe Hummers. Oooo, yeah. A mall parking lot full of Hummers... No more selling the house and moving to Florida! Us Yankees can just stay put. If we get sentimental about shoveling snow we can just winter at the North Pole - and here's another good thing - we won't have to worry about getting eaten by a Polar Bear - because they will have all drowned!
I jest.
Until the entire globe adjusts to the major climate change there will be havoc. The bread baskets will be no more. Droughts. Storms. Disease from insects that usually die off in the winter will reek havoc.
Kind of like asking (and I will never diss a person for asking a question because this is a good question) what are the benefits of an asteroid hitting the Earth? (Well, we would be rid of those pesky dinosaurs, for one...)
