absolutely, it is illegal for them to tell your parents anything unless you say you're going to kill someone or something like that. in some places you will need an exam but check the planned parenthood in your area because you may not. you can call 1-800-230-PLAN or go to their website. good luck!

I am assuming that you want to get on the pill for birth control as you question states, not menstrual cycle regulation, right?
At Planned Parenthood, you will have to a have a vaginal exam & probably an STD's test done...I am not sure about the test, but pretty sure about the exam. I don't believe that they will notify your parents but you can always call them anonymously and ask all about their policies.
May I also recommend that you use a condom, as well! Many or my young friend became pregnant while on the "pill". Plus the "pill" doesn't protect you against any STD's like HIV AIDS, syphilis, Gonorrhea etc, etc.
But might I also add that having sex is a huge responsibility. Something I regret doing before I was married. Your virginity is a very special gift that you can give your husband, if you keep it long enough. Also before you jump in the sack with some guy ask yourself, "Can I see this guy as a father, a father to MY child?" If not wait! You have your whole life to have sex, with your husband who deserves your virginity... What if one day you have to tell him why you didn't keep it for him, what will be your answer? My hubby is okay with the fact that I wasn't a virgin but, he really wishes we had both been virgins our wedding night! I feel so bad that I couldn't give that to him. Well what ever you decide please be responsible.

Try going to you health dept and ask them. My health dept needed a physical exam done before they could give me more than three months. I didn't go after I got the first three months because I was scared that the physical exam would have needed my moms consent. I'm 21 now and have two beautiful kids and a third on the way, but I did use condoms and birth control since I was 16. I got pregnant when I was 18 and I did stop using both because My fiance and I really wanted to start a family.

You are only 16, but if you are really serious and ready to have sex then you can go to your local doctor and get birth control pills. It is completely confidental . The doctor might ask you some questions about being sexually active, the doctor might also do a pep test but don't worry about that it only takes 5 minutes and it's painless, better to be safe then sorry. And remember get your partner to use a condom, the pill does not prevent any STD's.

Federal law protects women ages 15+ to obtain low cost confidential birth control nationwide. You may obtain birth control from Planned Parenthood, state/county health dept., or your family doctor. YOU DO NOT NEED PARENTS PERMISSION! Those who think otherwise need to become better educated themselves in reproductive health care.

Your mom doesn't have to know, you make an appointment , wen you go in tey will ask you a bunch of medical backgroud queations be honest, you will probably have a pap test done and a pregnancy test, then they will discuss your options and see what one fits you best. They may not be a charge if there is it is only like $20 and they will also give you a bag of condoms.

Yes you can go to planned parenthood. Its confidential. You'll have to get a pap smear though. Its not fun. Usually they ask you to make a donation of $10. I still suggest though that you use condoms to prevent stds.

Oh yes definitely. Free condoms and brochures and counseling. Also, you can get pills and stuff, at a discount. If you want insurance to pay or anything, you're gonna have to get your parent's permission. Also, they can give you check-ups and everything. it's all on their website. http://www.plannedparenthood.org. You can call toll free and anonymously and get advice as well. They specialize in helping scared teens and being extremely confidential. I have them in my phone under 'pp' lol.

It depends on local law. Give them a call and find out! And find out what they will want to do the first appointment.
1-800-230-PLAN
Also there are other non-prescription options like Lea's Shield.
