What's going with me? A lot of times, I'll get this feeling that I've been in the same situation before. Like one time, I was at a friend's birthday party eating some pizza and I got this feeling that I had done that before..don't know how to describe it. I looked online, but I can't find any info other than that it's documented..What is this thing? Does this mean that I am psychic?

ok to the person who said i was slow...that wasn't the only incident. I know it seems common but one time i was at a friends house for a group meeting, and when we were discussing a passage in a novel to analyze it felt like i had done that before. It happens to me alot of times, but i guess i'm not psychic :(

Deja Vu - happens to me too... not all that uncommon as I do know others that have that same thing happen at times. I think it is more one of those "un-recalled" dreams that we have than being psychic.

I can count on my hand the times that I have experienced deja vu. However, each experience was a profound feeling to me at the time. In the past I have had dreams of people places and things that were totally unfamiliar to my current life situation only to actually meet, do and be or live out that exact dream years later. Past Life? I think not. Physic, I don't know. I think some people are more tuned into thier environment than others. Each experince gave me the feeling that I was on the right path in life also. As a born again christian I believe that within this world we live in there is also a spiritual realm that coincides with ours that we cannot see. As long as christians inhabit the earth the Holy Spirit lives within each person that asks Christ to live in thier hearts not to mention the angels that abound and the flip side being the devil and his angels etc. Folks we are not alone and The Truth IS out there. NO it does not mean you are psychic. It happens to almost everyone. It happens because you have done the thing before but you just dont remember it directly, because it is not important to you. For example you probably ate some pizza another time in a similar situation to a birthday party, or you might have ate the same type of pizza before. It doesnt mean anything

Some people say it's a bit of a "brain fart" where for a short time the sensory messages being processed by the brain are misread as memories instead of new experiences, so it feels like 'been there done that'. It's pretty common.

We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

no either you had a dream about it like 3 months ago and you just now remeber it .. or deja vu might also be a chemical reaction in your brain to where you think you have done this before but u really havent. its natural i dont kno why your freaking out cuz it happens to everyone that has a brain and is alive

Almost everyone has deja vus. Don't worry.
An honest answer would be that no one knows what deja vu means.
But you can help science to figure it out. I just did a google search on this and this is what I found:

Sometimes when you're thinking your thoughts get interrupted for whatever reason, well when you experience deja vu you're actually finishing your thought. That's why it feels as though you have already experienced it before. That's the explanation my therapist gave me.I'm just sharing with all of you.

It might mean that you did that exact same thing in a previous life. I learned that while taking a "Past Lives Regression" course.
