i would go with Dylan, that is a more traditional spelling (as in the writer Dylan Thomas), it is a pretty popular name here in Australia and most spell it Dylan. i guess people spell it Dillon as it is more how it sounds. i agree Dillon is more like a last name, like Matt Dillon.... good luck anyway!

Generally, Dillon is the spelling used for the surname (as in Matt Dillon) and Dylan is the spelling used when giving it as the first name. Dylan is much more personalized and Dillon is not as individual. As a first or middle name, it should always be Dylan. Your husband is probably just more familiar with the spelling of Dillon as a last name. Good Luck with everything!

Hi i have seen this name spelled both ways. I think Dylan is more perferred from what I have seen. I think you just have to set down and write it out with whatever middle name you have decided on and with the baby's last name and you will be able to decide which you like best. My vote is for Dylan though.

Good Luck

Dylan is the way the first name is spelled. Dillon is a last name.

I don’t see anything wrong with that spelling; frankly I think either is fine. Its the same name just diffrent ways to spell it.

If i had a son and was going to use that name I’d use Dillon version just because I personnel favor that one and its different since most people use the Dylan version.

What's wrong with spelling it Dylan? I prefer it spelled that way, instead of Dillon. It's a beautiful name, for, I'm sure a beautiful baby boy. Congrats and best wishes!

I have to agree with the others that when spelled Dillon it's more like a last name. In fact a good friend of mine spells her sons name Dillon and she got that off a football jersey from some player in the NFL, which of course means it was his last name. Also people call her son dill pickle to tease her because of the name starting with Dill like the pickle. Love the name though, it's a great choice =)

Dillion looks more complete, but Dylan also looks nice. It is really your choice. Try writing it down or making a sample birth certificate. Also, there is a good website that can put your babys name in sentences. It is called http://www.babynamegenie.com. Try it. I know your probably pretty worried now but that will go away once you look into your babys eyes. Good Luck!!! Also, congrats on Dylan/Dillion
P.S. I preffer Dylan because it looks nicer and I have bad memories with a person with the spelling Dillion.
P.S.S. Dillion reminds me of silver dollar pancakes.

Dylan is the more popular spelling but try writing it out with the baby's last name and see which looks better.
