I just overhauled my motorcycle engine a few months back. It does not make funny noises initially but I just notice that the right side of the engine produces a lot of noise, the left side also produce noises but not as loud as the right side of the engine. Anyone here have any advice?

Well, my friend, if you answer a few questions, some one might just be able to give you an educated guess.

1. Year, Make, model?
2. What did you 'overhaul;? Top end, lower end, complete engine, was was wrong to start with?
3. What parts were replaced?.
Type of noise, and when, idle, acceleration, all the time??? Rattle, banging, grinding????

If you will give this information, and anything else you feel is of importance, likely someone can help. Did it get hot befor eth noise started, etc.???

Well, if it is a Triumph, there is your problem!!!
If it is anything else, depends on the noise...
If it is a clacking noise like your tapping a push rod against a metal bench, your valves are set too loose. Check the specs on it, and reset the spacing.
If it is a spitting noise, your exhaust is loose, tighten it up.
If it is a rubbing noise, this could be good or bad...good is your engine is breaking itself in...bad is your engine could be breaking!

You should have looked to see where those extra bolts you had after the overhaul went.

There is something wrong on the right side.

Evidently you shouldn't have tried doing this yourself! Take it to a REAL mechanic.
