Anybody have any suggestions for someone that has been married over 5 years and has done just about everything "generic"??! :)

You can do a scavenger hunt and leave clues leading to a hotel room with you waiting. You can leave a clue at your house, a friend or familiy members house, and then maybe have them pick something up at the supermarket and tell them to go to a specific line and ask the clerk to deliver the last clue. You can put the hotel info on that and that is exciting! It's always nice for married people to do something different. This proves to be lots of fun and romantic. Don't forget to decorate the room a little bit. Some candles, soft music, etc. Hope you guys enjoy the day!

I gave my husband's car a heart attack on V-day one year.

You will need candy hearts, roses and double side sticky tape. On the inside of his windshield I wrote "LUV U" in candy hearts w/ the tape and surrounded the message with rose petals in the shape of a heart. In his seat was a movie and CD that he had been wanting, w/ a balloon that said "Happy Valentines Day" There was also a card that I had wrote a dirty limerick in. (that I will not repeat here) And permission to take my car to work because the sticky tape would take a long time to take down.

I was the same way the first few years... but there's only so much you can do. My hubby's favorite V day present was the year I told him we were going to skip Valentines day... He didn't believe me at first, but we've been doing that for a few years now. He usually does something extra nice for me in either Jan or Feb because he WANTS to, not because he HAS to. I appreciate it more that way!!!
