They started by annexing AUSTRIA in 1938. They continued by annexing the Sudentenland from CZECHOSLOVAKIA in 1939 and then by invading and annexing the rest of that country. They proceeded to invade POLAND in 1939 and that's when the rest of the world woke up to the fact that Hitler wasn't going to stop. The USSR also invaded Poland and they followed that up by invading Finland. Germany then invaded DENMARK and then conquered FRANCE in 1940. The battle of BRITAIN followed and when it failed, they invaded the USSR.
Hope this helps!

On 23 August, 1939, the world was shocked when, suddenly, Russia and Germany signed a 'Non-aggression Pact'.
People would have been even more shocked if they had known at the time that, in addition, the two countries had made a number of a 'secret protocol' agreeing to 'spheres of influence' in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Poland. It amounted to an agreement to invade and divide the countries of eastern Europe between them ... with Poland first on the list

They occupied the Rhineland and the Sudetenland part of Czechoslovakia. The combined with Austria to form the Anschluss.
They 'invaded' Poland, Norway, Belgium, Holland, France, Denmark, the Soviet Union, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece, Yugoslavia, Czechoalovakia. They also supported the Italian invasions of Ethiopia, Libya and Egypt. I'm sure there are others I've missed, but I believe that is the bulk.
