Hi i had yellowish,fishy discharge a few weeks ago so finally i decided to use the monistat one day treatment 3 days ago. my discharge is half way clear with no smell now but has white stuff in it. looks like its the monistat ovule wax thing that i inserted. it looks creamy/waxy..no smell at all... anyone know when will it clear out? is this normal?? pls let me know. i am concerned thanks

A yellow, fishy smelling discharge would not be a yeast infection. A fishy odor is usually an infection called gardnerella which causes bacterial vaginosis. While this infection can be passed between partners, it is not a sexually transmitted disease. Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is one of the chief causes of vaginal odor. This odor may become more pronounced after having sex. BV is treatable with one of two medicines by prescription only- metronidazole or clindamycin. Please see your doctor for an exam.

Yes it is normal. Your warm body melts the medicine and makes it liquid. You want it to last as long a possible.
