I'm not familiar with the band, but I think Linda Kasabian was one of the Manson girls.

What the the name "Kasabian" mean? The band is named after Linda Kasabian, a member of the Charles Manson cult ("family") and the star witness for the prosecution in the Tate-LaBianca murder trial against him.

I love a lot of songs by this band. I've been meaning to pick up their CD. As for if Kasabian means anything, I've been wondering that myself! :)
