Will it make me lighter? Or will I lose any potential nutrients in doing so?

Well certainly if you have to go, you have to go. The last thing you want to be thinking about when you're on the court is that you should have took a dump! It will make you a bit lighter, but you won't lose any nutrients because by the time food becomes "poo", your body has already sucked the nutrients it needs from the food and that is what is left.
