What would you like to know? I am a professional archaeologist with the federal gov't and a graduate student in anthropology. Do you want to go on a dig? visit www.archaeologyfieldwork.com they list volunteer positions as well as jobs. one thing you will find though, is if you are looking to work on a dig most of the time you must pay the school or professor. that is how a lot of digs are funded. You will recieve credit for them (the reputable ones, anyway) but sometimes it can get pricey. However, working on an archaeological excavation, even if you can only afford to do it for a couple of days is an amazing experience! it will give you a wonderful sense of accomplishment to know that you are helping to preserve history!! email me if you have any other questions.

digs for what mummies? Heck yeah. did one dig here in my state a few years ago and found some old indian arrowheads and stuff. Nothing like the Ancient Egyptians though. Now I would have loved to been there when those pyramids were discovered. But digs can take a long time, and you have to be very careful not to disturb the artifact or break it in any way. It's fun and very interesting.
