technically, gold is the source of the money in any country. along with other precious metals but thats not the point.
anyway.
the person is the source of the money which is doing the talking so the person doesnt have to talk. since gold is source of the money and the person is silent: metaphorically the person/source can be called silence. and "silence" is golden bc its gold (source etc..)
