My eyebrows shot up after reading this question.
A regular guy, some live guests, a toy trolley, some hand puppets and your imagination...no gimmicks, no pretense (except when actually pretending, in the Land of Make-Believe). That was Fred Rogers. A comparison with Howdy Doody would make more sense. Mister Rogers, hands down!
I like the songs and the story lines on the Doodlebops, but the show is all gimmicks. Pull the rope on the excess, please!
I haven't seen enough of the Wiggles to properly evaluate them, but they look a little too slick for me. Kids respond to honesty.

Mr Rogers for sure!!!!!! My son watches the doodleboops sometimes and hes not aloud to watch the wiggels.... theres something wrong with those men. But by far Mr. Rogers is the Greatest!!
