No that is not true at all. Most women do cut there hair during pregnancy cause it is easier to manage. Some say Coloring your hair or perms can have a possible side effect. It is not known though cause there is not enough study on it and for a long enough period of time. But cut away nothing will happen!

I have never heard of having issues with a pregnancy if you cut your hair. I had waist length hair with my first son, and when I was 6 months pregnant cut it to my shoulders. I had hair to my mid back, am 11 weeks pregnant right now, and two weeks ago had my hair cut to my shoulders. I'm sure the drs would have said something to the general public if having your hair cut while pregnant was harmful.

Cutting her hair will never do anything bad to her. Even while being pregnant. Its just hair. Its a myth.

I definitely think that's a myth. When you cut your hair when you're pregnant, it won't effect your child at all. Remember, their own hair grows on its own. Also, if she even dyed it or got highlights done, it wouldn't effect the baby because whatever color her hair was before , her baby will have the same hair color too. If she's still unsure, why doesn't she go to a doctor and ask about.? That'll help too.

OMG that's a funny one LOL. That's like the superstition in England back when my grandma was preggers. It was thought that if you went into someones house of child bearing age before your child was baptized you could spread pregnancy to any child bearing woman in that house. Of course we know that's not true. So no that mom needs to go to a shrink no offense. That isn't scientific in the least.

It is thought that when a woman cuts her hair when pregnant they are letting go of their past or saying good bye to it...

WHAT?!?! Her mother is retarded! I've never even heard that and everyone gets their hair cut while pregnant. Your hair has nothing to do with your baby.

How would cutting hair effect your baby, it doesn't make logical since. Their is no evidence to support that it would effect her baby. Its not like smoking, drinking, or doing drugs, that is proven to effect a baby, and does make logical since why it does.

No, that's just an old wives tale. However, hormones and prenatal vits can cause it to grow fast, warn her of that. And make sure you don't use dyes or other harsh chemicals and she should mention it to her hair dresser so hey don't inadvertently use something on her hair.
Thanks for asking, a lot of men would just let their wife do it alone.
