xbox live and xbox 360?

if i have an xbox and xbox live can i play people that have a 360 with the same game

FOR EXAMPLE: im playing halo 2 and someone with a 360 is playing halo2 can we play together on xbox live

yes u can! as long as u both are playing a regular x box game, u can game together on x-box live all you want!

Yes you can, my friend has 360 and i have the original xbox. We both can play, it doesn't matter about the console it matters about the onlinesoftware u need to connect to xbox live..
