a river otter i mean .as we all know, the sea otter gets around by clinging to the underside of fiddler crabs.

Seeing as you forgot to tape up his mouth, you will probably lose most of your fingers in the process of trying to tape up his nose...
Come to think of it, you will need to tape up his legs otherwise he's going to scrape the tape off... so that's both sets of paws and mouth and nose, why don't you just stick him in plastic bag??
Of course, if you want him to drown, you'd have to fill him full of water first...

It would never drown...if anything suffocation would occur, but I'm thinking they could breathe through their mouth if need be.

And the sea otter/fiddler crab thing is pure idiocy...

He wouldn't.

In order to drown, he'd have to get water into his lungs, which he couldn't do if his nose was taped shut.

He'd die from suffocation, however, unless they can breathe through their mouths!
