Personally, I think the Universe was never born, but has always existed and always will. I cannot believe the big bang theory, because it cannot explain what existed before the big bang. Instead, I believe in the "steady state theory", which explains the Universe has always existed and never had a beginning or will never have an ending !

The leading theory is 'The Big Bang Theory'. It explains that Billions of years ago the universe expanded out of a 'singularity' and rapidly began to expand and cool. At the point of it's 'birth' the laws and forces of the universe were yet to form. This includes 'time'. Because time didn't actually come into being until shortly AFTER the Big Bang then the beginning cannot actually be pinned down.
Trying to see what the universe was like in these early nano-seconds after it was born is almost impossible for us because it was NOTHING like what it is now. There was no gravity, electromagnetism, or the strong and weak nuclear forces, nor light or space as we see it now.
At the moment not only is it still expanding but it's actually accelerating!
It would probably be easier to say that the universe was created by God if it makes you more comfortable. After all, I believe ANYTHING is possible...

Acording to current scientists beliefs, the universe started at a certain point and is now expanding. That means that at one time the universe started. It also means that although it always changes, the universe does have a physical limit to how big it is and a limit to how far away you can go from the center.

I believe so too.

Don't you think it would be cool to find out how long ago G-d created the universe?

From either view of religion or science, universe was born and still growing.
From christian view, universe was born when god created universe.
From science view, universe was born during big bang.
I do believe that universe has life because it is still expanding, growing,...our planet is orbiting, our solar system is rotating, whole galaxy is still moving....
There is why we have time continuos on going.
But, one day will come, universe will end its life (don't know when) and everything come to timeless condition.

Yes. According to scientific theory it was "The Big Bang." According to Christian doctrine, it was done by God in six days.
