No, as long as Matt Millen is the president/gm and Ford owns the team, there is no hope. Say whatever you want, but if you have a lowsy owner and a lowsy GM, your not gonna have a good team no matter what coach you hire or what players you bring in. As proven by Mike Martz, who i defended for the first half of the year, but didnt improve the offense at all. and John Kitna as our QB, the Lions won't be going anywhere, anytime soon. And I've been watching the Lions for 13 years, my dad has been watching for 40. The only common denometer between when Ford bought the team and the Lions starting to suck, is Ford. More recently Millen as been added to that equation. With both of them in your organization, your gonna be a terrible team. Think of it like this: If Ford can't succesfully run a car compnay, why the hell should we think he can run a succesful football team.
Go Tigers, Lions, and Pistons, and maybe someday, Lions

No, it's not too early for them to give up on the 2007, 2008, or 2009 seasons, but maybe for the 2010 season.

The one thing about football and their salary cap is that in a year, you can have teams that weren't very good last year but up decent numbers and be ready for the playoffs in a couple years. The Jets were unexpected to play in the playoffs this year and they got in. The Lions might not make the playoffs but they might be able to in two or three years if they make improvements. Signing the wideout Furrey is a great step. Also they play in the weak NFC were anything can happen!

No..this is starting to remind me of Major League. The owner sucks, the GM sucks...are they trying to take the football team away from Detroit?

No. If they can snag a good qb things could possibly turn around.
Ya gotta keep the faith.
