you should not remove it at all...now wait for few more days until swell is gone...cool it with ice if it still hurts

Did you even read any of the after care paperwork they gave you?! You should never take out a new piercing! More than likely it'll get infected now and you'll have to go to the doctor to get it drained. When you take out a piercing before it is healed, the holes close up and trap the puss and bacteria. Of course a piercing is going to swell! You should do research before making a decision like that.

think about it this way.
if someone punched you in your eye, do you expect it to hurt?
to you expect it to bruise?
do you expect it to swell up?
ANY trauma ANY part of you body is going to hurt to some degree.
did you expect to poke a hole in your body and it look like it does everyday?
from the way you worded your question it sounded like you did it yourself, because a professional tattoo parlor would have warned you about swelling and aftercare.
please, do not do this yourself, have a professional do this as they will take the necessary precautions to ensure a good piercing.
and they will also tell you the DO's and DONT's.

ALL PIERCINGS HURT! This is one of the stupidest questions I've ever encountered. What do YOU think you'll feel when they shove a needle through your face?
