It was Michael Schumacher if you include endorsements before he retired (he's now second behind Tiger Woods) with David Beckham in third with his shiny new contract to play in the US.
Tiger $90mil/yr (I don't know but would guess this does include endorsements)
Schumi $58mil/yr (don't know if this includes endorsements or not)
Becks $55mil/yr (this is just salary - with endorsements he could easily move up)
