I read every word you said You said two things, you have been unhealthy, more than physically. I think maybe you are having some burnout and illness. Do you have a support group, close, friends, family. You said you had a stricter teacher. Have you talked of this to this person? Maybe you could just focus on one aspect of music for a while, or some new aspect? breather? Do you ever have fun? Laugh? Do something really light and fun? Cut out the critics in your life . the competitors, surround yourself with positive people if you can, or tell the others to stop it at least for a while. Are you getting health care? Are you telling your doctor about the career problems? You love music, but you feel really bad, things are not going as you want them to go. Don't burn any bridges there. If you take a break, you can go back into it. How much are you pressuring yourself? You said you feel lost and depressed all the time. I think doctor needs to know about this. Sounds like you have invested a lot of time , years in music. You are simply having some problems temporarily? I love music. I have a life long love of music but have not been able to spend the time and effort you have spent in music. I admire and envy you, but I am not jealous or resentful of you. I had to give up piano, guitar a number of times, losing a lot, most of the piano, it seemed, all the guitar. urt a lot Don't give it up. The thought that I would lose my gains, and there have been many , simply of the past four years, upsets me. . I simply love piano, and music. It has been very good for me. I had to be away from it for many years , ,but the love for it was and is still there. I love hymns, religious music, and classical.. Don't quit .Get the health problems straightened out. Change your focus within music temporarily? I don't know how you would do that. Lighten up, mentally, if at all possible. I am sure you are probably different from me, younger in years, with years to grow and continue. Don't quit. Sickness can make the entire world look bleak, sad. It can cause you to be depressed, Keep you from wanting to do anything at all. A good physical from a good medical doctor would be a staring place. I hope God will bless you in Godly endeavors.
