a dream catcher is for catching all of your bad dreams so only the good ones can get through......the good ones get through the holes of the dream catcher, while the bad ones are caught in the web forever, never more to invade your dreams.......also, to make your dream catcher more personal, you should take objects that depict milestones in your life and attach them to your dream catcher.........for instance, a button from a favorite shirt from when you turned sweet sixteen or a bead from a necklace that someone very special gave you at a specific time in your life.........

It's a modern day symbol for good luck in what you hope for in your path of life; given as a gift from someone that you are enabled to you to catch your dreams and aspirations. The horseshoe and rabbits foot are also symbols of good luck.

I really like to see them and they catch the bad dreams. I feel that if someone has one apparently it was made for them and the person is concerned...I do not have one, would like one, my son had one made for him. Is there a folklore behind them?
