Yes, the John Carpenter Movie with Sam Neill. Very weird movie, but frightening in a creepy, end of the world kind of way.

One of John Carpenter's "End of World" trilogy of films, the other two being "They Live" and "Prince of Darkness".

Was that your question? How about "Did I like it"? Yes. I own a copy of it on DVD. In fact I own almost all of John Carpenter's movies.

Oh definitely. One of Carpenter's better films. A very unique idea - that mass belief thru a pop culture icon can change the world. Fascinating, freaky, and one of the few times Carpenter was able to create a film that showcased his idea very well.

Don't get me wrong - I like Carpenter's ideas - but he does miss the mark more often than not when it comes to the execution of the movie. "They Live" is a perfect example of a film that features an amazing concept which gets ruined by a slow, poorly-acted film. What could have been brilliant sci-fi comes off as straight-up camp.
