I pity your friend and I thank that she has a friend like,I suggest,if you know her family well and her parents treat you like a daughter,go talk to her parents,I know this will sound as you squeel on her and maybe she'll get mad at you,but it is the right thing to do since she doesn't listen to you,she really needs to go counseling, and if you think you can't tell her parents, are you still in school?then maybe you can talk to the school counselor.Your friends problem sound serious enough to get counseling.

There is a great possibility that she is dealing with self esteem or self loathing issues that could be a result of anything from abuse to guilt over some life issues. She needs a professional counselor. Her parents HAVE to know about this so that they can get her the help she needs. She will undoubtedly protest but while she may not mean to commit suicide if she cuts the wrong part of her body she could bleed to death. The best thing you can do to support her is share your concerns with a counselor at school, or her parents. Something needs to be done now.

Okay first of all your friend claiming she cuts herself should be taken seriously, because people do not usually say things like this unless they mean it, and especially since you have seen her cut herself then it is serious. So seek a hot line for this, or a Mental Health Center, and talk to your parents about this so they can help you figure out how to help her, and tell her parents so they can also help stop her from harming herself, and losing her. Together you will hopefully be able to stop her so that she does not kill herself.
I also hopes that she can grow out of this, and mature into a great person.

I wouldnt worry to much most people who say they cut or are willing to kill themselfs usely say that for either the attention or maybe even just wanting to scare people. I think shes fine but you might tell an adult the situation and let keep an eye on your friend. But Im sorry you have to face a scary situation, I wish you the best of luck.

well i know u worry but usually cutting isnt to "off"yourself,,when you cut yourself blood rushes to the area releasing endorphines which make you calm. your friend will probably be fine. im a cutter and i dont have suicidal thoughts or anything like that its just a way to deal with the everyday stresses of life. keep teling her how you feel it may help if not now later in life.

dont tell the school councerler unless u know them or they r really nice,ect.. b/c 1 time there was this 1 girl in our school and and she was all depressed and they finnally got her to confide, and she told them she cut her wrists, and they called 911 right away and took her to a mental hospital and she there went crazy and had a nervouse breakdown.... instead tell her mom or a coach... but tell them not to telll who said it

If you iz a real friend, tell her she needs to solve wot ever is causing her to do it to begin with instead of adding another problem to her life, and if she don't hear you, you need to tell someone that can help her.

Cutting herself does not mean shes going to kill herself thats two different topics right there. The only way shes going to stop is if she wants to. If she does not want to its pointless to try.

You should tell anyone who potentially can help her. Parents, teachers, her doctor , her coach, Keep talking to people until someone helps her and do it right away.!

i think you should tell her how bad it makes you feel and how you want her to get help. tell her you don't want to lose her b/c you love her like a sister and she means a lot to you.
