Angus is great as is AC/DC, but Hendrix was much more unique, ground breaking and influential than Angus ever was. Angus may be tops in his particular genre and style, but Hendrix created new genres and transcended the limits of basic Rock and Roll.
Angus could never have come up with stuff like "All Along the Watchtower", "Spanish Castle Magic" "1983" "Fire" (I could go on and on)
Hendrix could have played anything Angus has done with his eyes closed, behind his back, with his teeth and not break a sweat.

hendrix was a insperational gituarist no lessons played from the soul he really wasnt that great of a technicain if you know what im saying he just had an unbelivieable ear for music and creative as anybody, but eewww boy i tell you young is really up there when it comes to technical abitly he's not as creative as hendrix but better gituarist on paper so i guess it's really a judgment call
i'll give you a star on this one good question.................

out of those two, Jimi Hendrix, definately....
but I think the best rock guitaris of all would have to be Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin.
...Eric Clapton???? How can you say he is the best? he's done good songs, especially in Cream, but they are all very simple to play and he's very limited in his style
